Out of Town Volunteers

Habitat for Humanity of the MS Gulf Coast has a partnership with local facilities to provide discounted housing for our volunteers. Some of the below amenities are based on availability. Please let us know if you will be needing housing and we can give you options based on your situation and the dates you will be volunteering with us.

All volunteers must be 16  or older.

Most out of town volunteers come in on Monday and leave Saturday. They attend orientation on Monday at our office and work Tuesday-Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Our primary housing partner provides three meals a day for our volunteers. HFHMGC does not provide lunch for local or out of town volunteers.

The primary facility used for housing volunteers is an air conditioned/heated dorm with 10 bunk beds per room separated by sex. Wireless internet access is available to volunteers. See our packing list for volunteers for tips on what to bring.

We also have hotel style options available. Let us know if you are interested in these options.

TRANSPORTATION:Suggested Packing List for Volunteers

HFHMGC does not provide transportation for our volunteers. Our nearest airport is the Biloxi/Gulfport International Airport.

We do have a relationship with our local Enterprise Car Rental. Please contact us for more information.

Our primary housing facility has RV hookups. Please contact us for space availability. Click here for a list of local  RV Parks.

Payment is dependent on your housing choices and is made during the online registration process.

If a volunteer camp isn’t your style, we have a relationship with the local Home2Suites by Hilton, located in D’Iberville.
If you prefer this option, please let the Volunteer Coordinator know at 228-678-9100 or volunteer@hfhmgc.org and we can request a quote.

Please see our HFHMGC Cancellation Policy.
