HFHMGC Welcomes New Staff Members

Gulfport, Miss. (December 3, 2012)

Collette Poppendieck and Craig Langdon have recently join the staff of Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Poppendieck was hired for the position of Accountant at HFHMGC. Her responsibilities are the basic accounting functions of the organization which include maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, financial reporting and construction project accounting.

Poppendieck will incorporate her over 16 years of accounting/finance experience. Her most recent position was as Controller at the Gulf Coast Renaissance Corporation. She has a BBA in Accounting from the University of Alaska and an MBA from William Carey College. She also is a veteran of the US Air Force.

“I am very excited about working with the exceptional team at HFHMGC. I hope that joining the Habitat team will assist the organization in achieving its goals of growing the company in order to maximize the beneficial impact in our communities,” said Poppendieck.

Craig Langdon serves as IT and MIS Manager. In addition to managing the HFHMGC IT Department, Langdon’s other responsibilities include developing custom databases and business intelligence applications.

To be able to combine my love of all things IT with helping others through Habitat for Humanity is an ideal opportunity,” said Langdon.
