Gulfport, Miss. (November 15, 2016) – Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast has been awarded 2 Mission Continues Fellows to work with our construction department and is looking for motivated and qualified candidates to serve locally. There are three available terms in 2017, each lasting 26 weeks.
The Mission Continues empowers veterans who are adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact. Veterans are deployed on new missions in their communities, so that their actions will inspire future generations to serve.
Throughout the 26 weeks the Mission Continues Fellow serving with HFHMGC will support the mission, build capacity, and sustain efforts within the organization by building decent, affordable homes as well as weatherizing and rehabbing existing homes for the people residing in our service area.
Applicants who are accepted as Mission Continues Fellows and commit to serve for a 26 weeks with HFHMGC will join other Mission Continues Fellows that have worked with more than 600 nonprofit and community organizations across the country since its founding in 2007.
