Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Chemours, Inc. participate in #GivingTuesday by giving back on the job site
Gulfport, Miss. (November 20, 2018) — Habitat for Humanity of the Mississippi Gulf Coast is participating in 2018 #GivingTuesday a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
#GivingTuesday follows Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year’s #GivingTuesday will take place on November 27th and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back. Since its founding in 2012, millions of people have come together to support and champion the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live.
In the spirit of giving, employees from Chemours, Inc., will be giving back on the construction site in Gulfport for Habitat MS Gulf Coast.
“Chemours is a strong supporter of Habitat MS Gulf Coast, just this Spring they participated in our Women Build event and were a sponsor for our Hang out with Habitat event last month. We are grateful to have them bringing their professional painters out to our job site to help us complete this home.” Lindsay Avery, Director of Development said.
Habitat MS Gulf Coast thanks all its supporters and will also be soliciting donations on their website via Facebook all day, kicking off their year-end giving campaign. You can give directly at: hfhmgc.org/give.

Everyone has something to give.
