What is #GivingTuesday?
Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday that follows Thanksgiving. It is in the middle of the holiday giving season and was created in response to Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. Ultimately, it is a chance for everyone to give back to their community by donating to their favorite charity.
How do donations given to #HFHMGC on #GivingTuesday make a difference on the Gulf Coast?
HFHMGC has provided a variety of services to the MS Gulf Coast since 2007 including home ownership, rehabilitation of homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina, repair of homes, weatherization of homes, as well as, financial education classes & one on one financial coaching offered to the general public. Your donations go towards funding programs like these. Those individuals that participate in these programs are able to make a positive change in their lives, the lives of their families and effect change in our community.
How can I donate on Giving Tuesday?
You can give via our website at www.hfhmgc.com/givingtues or you can mail a check in to: HFHMGC, 2214 34th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501.
Is my donation for Giving Tuesday tax deductible?
Yes! All donations given are tax deductible. If you give on Giving Tuesday, or prior to January 1st, you will receive a receipt for your donation that can be used for a tax deduction for the 2015 tax year.
