BILOXI, MS (WLOX) –
Most south Mississippians know Delmar Robinson for his work with the Biloxi Housing Authority. People around the state know him for his philanthropy.
The Governor’s Initiative for Volunteer Excellence (GIVE) just released its list of honorees, people who do extraordinary things to improve our communities. Delmar Robinson is on that list. Robinson is being recognized for his outstanding achievement in sustainable community solutions.
The GIVE Awards honor individuals and groups who positively impact the state of Mississippi through their significant volunteer efforts.
“The 2012 GIVE Award recipients raise the bar in humanitarianism and servant leadership; not only for the state of Mississippi, but for the nation. We are humbled and honored to tell their stories of selfless service that are sure to inspire and encourage in these trying times,” said W. David Mallery, MCVS Executive Director.
Alexander’s Photography will also receive a GIVE award for its outstanding volunteer service by a business.
